Station 12 changes name to Xantic

On 19 March 2001, satellite services provider Station 12 announced at a press conference held in London, UK, that it was changing of its name to Xantic. According to the company, the new name is designed to reflect the enhanced product and service portfolio from Station 12, following its joint venture with Telstra Global satellite in May 2000, and its recent acquisition of maritime software specialists SpecTec in September 2000.
