De Jonge provides a straightforward account of the birth, development and corporate governance of H-share companies. These are Chinese firms with dual trading shares. They are incorporated and headquartered in mainland China, with shares listed in both the mainland and Hong Kong stock exchanges, called H-shares. The book devotes its attention to the first nine companies that started trading in the H-share market.
