"The UK-Japanese security relationship has hit new heights since 2015 when Japan was identified as the UK's primary strategic partner in the Pacific as part of the 2015 Strategic Defence and Security Review. 2016 saw the first deployment of Typhoons to Japan and in 2018 the first UK troops since 1945 undertook exercises in Japan. 2019 will see the first DSEI show in Tokyo and provides a unique opportunity for UK defence industry to meet key Japanese stakeholders at an exciting time for the countries' respective industries with interest in future fighters, maritime programmes, and missiles. DSO is well placed to offer support with a permanent team in country and London which will be supported by our renowned exhibitions and events team."
