India's Flexible Investment Approach Attracts Japanese Investors

Since the adoption of the new economic reforms in 1991, India has been opening up its trade on various sectors under a calibrated policy approach. Today, almost 35 sectors have been liberalized and have been opened up for the participation of foreign players. The Government also provides privileges to both developers and users of special economic zones (SEZs) and allows the setting up of a single-unit SEZ.
