Panasonic Factory Solutions Co., Ltd. embarks on strengthening its operations in Vietnam and India as new markets for chip-mounters. In its effort to seriously carry out its business activities in these countries, the company established a manufacturing base in India in December 2006 while the one in Vietnam is planned for April 2007. The company operates its mounting business on a global scale with China accounting for 35 percent of total sales. Japan supplied 30 percent of sales while North America, Europe and Asia, excluding China, generated 10 percent each of total sales.
