Hokuriku Electric Industry Co., Ltd. has tapped its subsidiary, the HDK (Thailand) Co., Ltd., to heighten the company's production of board assemblies. The subsidiary has installed state-of-the-art packaging systems to produce products for exports in the United States as well as countries in Southeast Asia and Europe. In September, the HDK (Thailand) has added a new line to double the value of its monthly production capacity from ￥200 million to about ￥400 million. HDK (Thailand) has been operating at the High-Tech Industrial Estate in Bangpa-in, of Thailand's Ayudthaya Province. With three lines of groundbreaking packaging systems, the company has been producing modules mainly for flat panel TVs.
