In recent years, the proliferation of drive recorders and rear monitor cameras has been increasing rapidly. This trend is supported by the growing public awareness on safety and security, as well as the expansion of digitization in the automotive market. With this trend as a backdrop, ROHM Co., Ltd. developed a real-time image correction LSI, which can correct the brightness of dark and too-bright areas by using unique algorithms, instead of correcting the brightness of a camera image as a whole. ROHM's technical development is worthy of note because it can contribute to automotive safety with small power consumption.
