Sony Manufacturing Systems Corporation is set to release to the market the SI-V200D printed wiring board (PWB) visual inspection machine, which integrates the dual-lane production. The dual-lane production system involves a mounter with two substrate transfer systems installed on a single production line to mount components on PWBs. This method draws attention as a production method that realizes high productivity for the production of smartphones, tablet computers, and digital cameras. Mounters, screen printers, and reflow ovens that accommodate dual-lane production are already commercially available.
