Where is the technological innovation of recent years called the fourth industrial revolution heading? At World Economic Forum (WEF) known as Davos Forum, a report predicted the megatrend for realizing a future society and its potentials and risks. The driving force of the megatrend has been and will continue to be semiconductor technologies, including material, circuit and system technologies. Among them, high-speed digital processing technology, which realizes artificial intelligence (AI) processors, large-capacity digital memory technology, which enables high-speed processing of big data, and highspeed analog circuit technology, which supports wireless communications, are the major driving force.
