As manufacturers of water- and space-heating equipment recapture more and more of the BTUs that once went up the flue, the performance of power venting blowers becomes critically important. Many heating equipment OEMs are finding that an off-the-shelf blower that "will do the job" is not necessarily the best way to get the job done. At the Technical Motor Division of AMETEK, Inc., we are increasingly being requested to develop complete blower systems that are custom-engineered for the specific application. This partnering relationship is a role where we believe we can be a major asset to the original equipment manufacturer.
