This paper describes the design of a campus guide system using a drone. Recently, various types of unmanned aerial vehicles known as drones have been developed worldwide. The most important advantage of drones over conventional helicopters is probably their flying stability. This allows us to expect an increase in their availability. In contrast to wheeled or legged robots, drones can fly without distinguishing between passages and stairs. Therefore, we use the advantages of drones to realize campus guidance. Our drone traces a white line drawn on the floor and stairs that is detected through its lower camera. Some AR (Augmented reality) markers are placed at the guidance points on the white line. When the drone detects a marker, it hovers above that point and displays the information of the position on the tablets of users. The results of this study suggest that a drone can be used as a campus guide.
