The Future Vertical Lift (FVL) family of aircraft will provide Army Aviation with significant improvements in speed, range, endurance, agility, lethality, payload, sensors, protection, connectivity, autonomy, and sustainability. Many of the advanced technologies that enable those capability improvements are truly ground-breaking. As such, their airworthiness verifications may require new and innovative approaches. With that in mind, we would like to address this year's Aviation Engineering Directorate (AED) special focus article to the Army Aviation industry partners who are already working on advanced technologies that will soon find their way into the FVL aircraft.
