On the last day of the passed year the Indian Ministry of Defence and Rosoboronexport signed the contract dealing with delivery of two salvo artillery rocket system "Smerch" regiments to India. This fact was announced on the eve of DEFEXPO lndia'06 by Viktor Komardin, Rosoboronexport vice-general director. Nothing was said about the cost of the contract, which was signed after a big delay. Anywayrnthe contract was the "final cut" for 2005, a very successful year for Russian-Indian military-technical co-operation.
