Is it reasonable to develop special weapons for conventional submarines (cheaper, with restricted range and depth) or it is better to standardize both weapons for conventional and nuclear ones? Actually, weapons characteristics are mostly defined by the performance of targets which they destroy and by features of the theatre of war. If wars were fought only in shallow waters, it would, for sure, influence weapons profile. But nobody ignores deep waters as possible theater of war.
