Fish-eye Missile Detection MBDA

With the new-generation DDM NG missile detection sensor, the Rafale will be provided with an all-round missile detection capability. Under development since 2007 by MBDA as a 'form, fit and function replacement' unit, it has been successfully tested at the Cazaux air base in southwest France and will be fitted to the batch of 60 Rafales ordered by the DGA in December 2009.
