Kärnten ist eine schwierige Architekturregion. Hier liebt man das Spektakel, vernachlässigt dabei aber oft den sozialen Bau-Alltag. Dass es in diesem Bereich auch anders geht, beweist die „rote" Stadt Villach gemeinsam mit dem ambitionierten Steyrer Architekten Gernot Hertl anhand eines sozialen Wohnbaus. Er ist Teil einer komplexen Gründungs- und Innovationskampagne der Stadt.%Carinthia is a rather difficult region for architecture. The spectacle tends to be popular there, which often leads to the everyday social aspects of building being neglected. But the "red" town of Villach, together with Gernot Hertl, an ambitious architect from Steyr, has shown in the form of a social housing scheme that things can be different here also. This scheme is part of a complex innovation and business set-up campaign that has been launched in the town.
