The nursing home in Hainburg had to be extended. Architects Christian Kronaus and Erhard An-He Kinzelbach placed an 80-metre long, timber building in front of the existing home. Based on the principle of spatial development a facade system was developed that moves forward and steps back. It enriches this buildingtype by lending it new qualities and differentiated outdoor spaces.
