It is not only the plants that sprout in spring, but also single-family houses. When everyone is drawn outdoors to the countryside it is time again for us to review the latest developments in this classic building commission. At the moment we are interested by the question whether the often vehement criticism of this building form and of its intensive use of resources remains valid during a time of crisis. When, as a whole, less is being invested then perhaps the projects that remain could be seen with different eyes. Private house building is, after all, a significant economic factor.
