The former black coal mine in Katowice is the stage for a new regional museum that is intended to create identity and to effectively present the place and the urban space. A clever concept: with glowing volumes of light at ground level and extensive museum spaces underground, here iconic industrial architecture has been successfully combined with contemporary educational concepts.
