Compared to other European countries, the market for architecture in Spain is very active. Large-scale projects designed by world-renowned architects in major cities such as Madrid and Barcelona characterize the robust architectural scene in Spain. On the other hand, there are many local projects done by Spanish architects. Innovative strategies that reread the geography and reinterpret the inherited culture have come to define the recent trend of Spanish architecture.
