Mobility

摘要

Many disruptive web-based business models harness mobile technologies - principally smart phones - to facilitate on-the-fly transactions which are inextricably spatial (e.g. commuting, accommodation, dining, etc). Mobility remains a core challenge for growing cities, but our understanding of transit is becoming highly granular, thanks to ceaseless geospatial data tracking. Computation empowers the rapidly growing so-called sharing economy, where a driver, ineentivized by ever-fluctuating supply and demand, can become a chauffeur at the tap of a button. In this most literal sense, the city is increasingly being driven by data.
