Skolkovo Golf Clubhouse

A golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus was planned for the city of Moscow, and the owner, who had seen the Nine Bridges Country Club that we had designed in Yeoju, South Korea (2009), asked us to design the clubhouse. The plan was for a sprawling facility with an indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, and accommodations so that the clubhouse could be used for various purposes year-round, even in Moscow with its long winters. Due to the economic downturn in Russia and various scheduling delays, however, a small "temporary" clubhouse had to be built first.
