The chosen design motifs were a response to the architectural image inspired by the swirling hems of ladies' dresses; this theme evokes fond memories of the Rokumeikan building, once located in Hibiya and renowned for its elegant Meiji era banquets and balls. A locus of graceful dancing steps was expressed by flowing curved lines.
