Overlooking a sheltered bay within Sydney's world-famous harbour, this beautiful contemporary home by SAOTA in association with TKD Architects creates private, sheltered spaces for family living while maximizing the views toward the water and beyond. The design features Kaynemaile-Armour mesh screens positioned to provide solar shading and privacy screening without compromising the spectacular views. With the screens conceived as floating planes, it was essential to find a material solution that matched the seamless visual appearance of the building and had the right solar reduction properties. Kaynemaile-Armour provided a cost-effective method to help maintain a comfortable interior temperature by reducing radiant heat transfer from direct sunlight.
