The next three books are all manuals for various systems of utilizing solar energy. Solar Domestic Water Heating addresses a specific aspect of the technology, one that is widely held to be the simplest and most effective. Hot water is needed year around, and the problem of storage to cover nights and cloudy days is automatically covered by the stored water. Of course there is a seasonal mismatch between availability and demand, and the book deals with the assessment of solar fraction (how much of the energy to try to supply by solar) against the efficiency of the system (which diminishes as the collector area increases).
