We are approaching the 40th anniversary of the death of the architect Konstantin Melnikov, and the importance of his built works and the projects he drew has not stopped growing. His visionary schemes were decades ahead of their time: now, as new technologies are beginning to make them feasible, they exert an increasing influence on today's architecture.
