ISAHAYA CHILDREN'S SITE

This children's site is located on green hillsides with a view of Isahaya Bay. It was planned to provide places for various activities along with nearby campsites and star-gazing facilities. However, play sites for children can be anywhere, since they can imagine any place a playground. Therefore, rather than designing spaces for each type of play, we tried to stimulate play in our design by carefully tracing a plane according to the landscape and topping it with an uneven roof. Spaces that are required to be closed, such as bathrooms and nursing rooms for babies, are designed to look like large furniture, and are topped with roofs that look like mountain ranges. This results in the creation of various spaces with sky-high ceilings or also intimate closet-like low ceilings. The facility's rich appeal with "space topography" will endure by providing new ways of play.
