Jeremy Melvin describes Gianni Botsford's house for a writer on a beachside plot in Cahuita, Costa Rica. Infusing 'traditional practices with a technofogical sophistication that enhances rather than sets itself against local conditions', Botsford employed, vernacular wherewithal and materials, while adopting computer-aided techniques to create unfamiliar forms.
