Geometry has always constituted basic knowledge in the architectural design process, especially as a design language in the form of drawings based on the rules of descriptive geometry, but it has hardly ever formed an area of research. The advent of free-form shapes in contemporary architecture has completely changed this situation. The geometry of architectural designs is rapidly becoming more complex and challenging.
