In fact it is the point. The act of invention is the governing rule of remarkable design. To grasp the imperceptible and make it visible is the most powerful instrument a human can wield. Tomorrow is an unshakable discourse. Everything must draw from its past, connect the dots and venture onward with farsightedness. Design in its best wide-ranging procedures formulates the stratagem for tomorrow. Without a shadow of a doubt, the art of imagination is a limitless attribute of humankind. Cases in point: Walt Disney, Elon Musk, Norman Bel Geddes - society is still enthralled by the futures they promoted. If imagination is used for positive intentions and checked against deleterious effects, its ascendancy is humbling. The 21st-century future faces an immense disruption, that of climate breakdown, and depends on design to innovate our path forward.
