Traditional open-trench pipe laying disturbes the traffic and aggrevates the people living close to the site, moreover the street construction design is damaged substantially. These reasons contributed to an increasing accepantance of trenchless technologies in pipe laying and pipe rehabilitation. Most importantly, there is a lot of money and time to be saved. In trenchless pipe laying Polyethylene (PE) pipes are often used since they can be welded axially forced-locking and their high flexiblity makes it possible to realize the work using only very small access pits.
