The difficult problems which are confronting appraisers of real property today emphasize the importance of adequate training in this field. Such training involves not only formal courses of study in our universities, colleges, and institutes but also a systematic program of self-education on the part of every practicing appraiser.rnHow can we improve our training programs in the field of appraising?rnTo answer this question, we must raise several others: In what respects is appraisal practice today falling short of desired objectives? What are the types of problems which cause greatest difficulties for the practicing appraiser?
