In "Office Property DCF Assumptions: Lessons from Two Decades of Investor Surveys," by Barrett A. Slade, PhD, MAI, and C. F. Sirmans, PhD (Summer 2010), the last paragraph of the article contained a very eye-catching comment: "[I]t could not be determined whether there is herding behavior among the investors in the reporting process." Experience and anecdotal evidence suggests the probability that there is a decided herding behavior.
