Social Trends Affecting Real Estate Markets in Asia

I'm a numbers guy. Give me a rent roll and a few years of historical income and expense data and eventually I can come up with a credible estimate of value. But a number of factors impact market value. Among them are governmental forces that can range from zoning codes to building regulations; environmental conditions, including climate and topography; and economic forces like wage levels and an area's economic base. A recent trip through Asia made me think especially about how social factors impact real estate markets and market value.
