摘要

The eddy-current losses in the yoke of a superconductive dipole magnet are simulated using a transient, magnetoquasistatic formulation discretized in 3D by the finite integration technique. The laminated yoke material is modeled by an anisotropic, nonlinear material characteristic. The system is linearized by the successive approximation technique with backtracking and solved by a curl-curl algebraic multigrid solver. The results show the complex interaction between ferromagnetic saturation and eddy currents.
