Promising Use of Solar, Wind and Small-River Energy in Power Supply to Ungasified Rural Settlements in the Chimgan-Charvak Mountain Region

Predicted consumption of electric and thermal energies by homes in rural settlements in the Chimgan — Charvak mountain region, including settlements not to be gasified by 2010, has been determined. The possibilities of covering these loads using solar photovoltaic units, wind-electric units of low and average power in the regions for which the observation data obtained at the WS Charvak water storage are representative, and the small-scale HPPs on the rivers of Pskem, Ugam, and Chimgansai have been considered.
