Current reliability state and problems for the Russian unified electrical power system

摘要

The current state of the Russian unified electrical power system is considered, and basic aspects of improving its reliability are formulated, which include the provision of appropriate power backup, maintaining the system controllability, and developing the national grid and the external links to that system. It is necessary to maintain and strengthen the centralized management of system conditions and also to upgrade facilities for automating the control of normal and breakdown processes.
