2009 Oertel Nadebaum Distinguished Service Award

The Appita Oertel Nadebaum Distinguished Service Award is given to an Appita Member who has made an outstanding contribution to the association. The award for 2009 is made to Dr John Richardson.rnJohn Richardson joined he then Forest Research Institute (now Scion) in Rotorua, New Zealand, as a Scientist in the Pulping Section, in 1981. John became Project Leader, Mechanical Fibre Production, in 1999 and replaced Dr Stuart Corson as Group Leader in 2002. He remained with Scion until June 2009, when he joined Norske Skog as a Mechanical Pulping consultant.
