International Symposium on Resource Efficiency in Pulp and Paper Technology (REPTech2012)

Run in conjunction with the Symposium, The Pan Pacific Conference (PPC) was a meeting of the pulp and paper industry associations of the Western Pacific rim countries. Interestingly, most of the Associations incorporate TAPPI into their names - JapanTAPPI, KoreaTAPPI, inaTAPPI and so forth - but this seems an accident of history. While TAPPI (meaning USA, without actually saying it),one of the most influential associations, at one time did reach across the Pacific to guide the fledging local associations, its involvement has not happened.
