Maintaining and enhancing the paper and pulp industry's contribution to the Circular Economy by improving resource efficiency and resilience at recycled fibre paper mills

The pulp and paper sector is a resource intensive sector with a value-chain that spans the renewable resource sector (plantation forestry), primary processing (pulp milling), secondary processing (paper and paper products), use and disposal, collection, and recycling/secondary beneficiation (recycled paper and paper products). The secondary beneficiation stage which recycles paper fibre is an important cog in making the industry more circular as it provides the avenue for reintegration of used paper back into the economy.
