Treske Precision Machining Inc. recently experienced substantial growth in its customer base and changes to International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certification requirements related to managing its product information. "We needed to implement a system to track and manage this information and make it accessible to everyone," says Mark Brenden, Treske engineering manager.rnCompany leaders knew Treske needed to employ a product life cycle management (PLM) solution. Their ultimate goal was to integrate the enterprise resources planning (ERP) and PLM environments for direct sharing of information through an automated process. In addition, they wanted to eliminate replicate entry of part data and have all released information, particularly bills of material (BOMs), automatically uploaded from the PLM system to their current system.
