The Market for Undersea Warfare Systems

For the 2012-2021 period, Forecast International is projecting an undersea warfare market with a total value of $11,802 million, an increase of 9.4 percent from the 2011 total of $10,786 million. In numbers of units, this year's edition projects production of 26,670 systems, a fall of 7.1 percent from last year's forecast of 28,701 individual systems. This forecast restores the established pattern of system numbers falling but total value increasing that was reversed in the 2011-2020 edition of this survey, where value fell but unit numbers increased. That appears to have been an anomaly.
