Telecom operators around the world have come under increasing pressure to improve profit margins, which in turn has sparked an aggressive pursuit of lean business models. Network sharing has taken hold as a way to substantially decrease capital expenses (CAPEX) and operational expenses (OPEX). Sharing has also sparked innovation by enabling operators to increase rollout speed, provide broader coverage, and introduce new applications.
