In support of the ASA membership initiatives launched during the 2004 Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM), the Statistics Partnerships among Academe, Industry, & Government (SPAIG) Committee is implementing nine ideas to further the goal of "respecting better the roles of practitioner and toolmaker by increasing the positive synergy that should exist across groups within [the] ASA." The ideas on and progress of those ideas as of late April are summarized below.
