Social Meeting, Roundtable with Lunch Planned for JSM

Summer is once again upon us and, once again, it is time for ASA members to begin mapping out their schedules for JSM. The ASA Committee on Gay and Lesbian Concerns in Statistics would like to invite all attendees to participate in a few special events. The committee will sponsor a social meeting with a guest speaker from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 7, in room H-Sherman at the Grand Hyatt. The guest speaker will be Antony Stately, project director at the Native Wellness Research Center, University of Washington School of Social Work. He will discuss the Honor Project, a study of the ways native culture and spirituality impact coping and health among two-spirit natives.
