June Issue Filled with Diversity of Papers

The Journal of the American Statistical Association editors are delighted to introduce their new colleague, Hal Stern, from the Department of Statistics at the University of California at Irvine. Stern is the incoming coordinating editor and editor of the Applications and Case Studies section. He hasrnalready begun to handle the new A&CS submissions. As is customary, David Banks will continue to handle papers that are already in process through the end of 2009.rnThe editors want to particularly thank Mark Kaiser for chairing the search committee that selected Stern. There were many excellent candidates. The profession is fortunate to have such depth of strength among its members, and even more fortunate that so many are willing to volunteer for this job.
