Winner Of Griffith Award Honored

Rosemary Marcuss, deputy director of the Bureau of Economic Analysis, is the winner of the 2008 Jeanne Griffith Mentoring Award. She has been the deputy director since she joined the agency in 1998. Before that, she served for 15 years as the assistant director for tax analysis for the U.S. Congressional Budget Office. Marcuss started her career in Washington, DC, as a junior staff member of the President's Council of Economic Advisors. She holds a PhD in economics from the University of Maryland and was a National Science Foundation fellow during her graduate studies.
