Recycling and Reuse to Grow at Annual Rate of 8.8%

Atechnical market research report from BCC Research estimates that the total value of the US water recycling and reuse industry was $2.2 billion in 2005 and is expected to increase at an average annual growth rate (AAGR) of 8.8%, reaching a total of $3.3 billion by 2010 (Table 1; Figure 1). The report, Water Recycling and Reuse: Technologies and Materials (report number RGB-331), indi-cates that the 8.8% AAGR shows that significant innovation is still occurring, making technologies more accessible to a greater number of potential buyers. It also indicates that the underlying market—wastewater recycling and reuse—is heading into a replacement phase.
