RRBC is looking into rainwater harvesting because of its obvious potential for addressing the issues of sedimentation and water supply. However, rainwater harvesting is just one part of the commission's broader plan for tackling the issue of excessive sedimentation. Collectively, we now understand that the conventional thinking about how we manage rainfall (commonly referred to as stormwater management) is not up to the task.
