Requirements and techniques to decontaminate CBR contamination of drinking water systems were identified and evaluated for effectiveness against rhe various priority contaminants. Decontamination was assessed for rhe components of a distribution system, including storage ranks, pipelines, valves, pumps, and the plumbing within each customer's home or business. Deconramination is complicated by the contaminants' likely interaction with the scale and biofilms in many parts of the water system.
